Putting Farmers First
The very idea of coming up with a winery in Ziro valley was driven by the want of an attempt at the empowerment of the local farmers by encouraging use of otherwise underutilized abundant local produce and providing a sustainable market for the farmers. It uses fruits from the local orchards of the valley and adjoining areas. The winery also extends employment to local school/college dropouts, as well as to the people from the neighborhood including the elderly. Through their community driven outlook, the Naara Aaba winery has brought vibrancy among the farmers and community members of the region.
